What do you do with expensive gifts that were given to you, but you have no use of? Is it reasonable to sell it? am I being labelled ungrateful for selling it?

I'll sell it. As u don't need it, it will be collecting dust at home. And if ur friend sees it collecting dust, he will feel sad tht he bought u a white elephant. But if he knows that u make use of the gift aka sell it and get something u really need, if he is a true friend, he will understand.

I would sell it, get the money and buy something useful for myself instead. If he is a real friend, he wouldn't mind and anyway, he gave it to you. You can do anything with it.
