For example, how you envisioned yourself at 30, when you are 18 vs now at 25. Has anything changed significantly?
Back when I was 18, I never really cared about my personal finances or cared about planning for retirement. What I do know is that I wanted to retire early, have a simple life, and just travel the world. But I never considered the amount of money I needed to set aside to attain such a dream.
I'm 22 now and thanks to Covid, I think it has widened my perspective on the importance of personal finance and starting as early as possible. I've been reading up on how to invest, keeping up with the news and on the stock markets, accounted for my insurance, and started planning for my retirement! Little progress is still progress :)
By 30, I hope to have a net worth of at least $100k and have the ability to retire by 55, but it doesn't mean I would stop working though. I believe all of us will have a certain point in our lives where we realized the importance of planning our finances, it always good to start now than later :)
My goal always same retire early.
At 16 - 30 tot to retire early i need to hold alot of cash. Then i started lot of moon lighting to hoard cash
After 30 then i realize, i was wrong, i must hold assets that generate cashflow. Then i started investing. While still doing moonlighting to generate more capital.

At 18, I never thought I had to ever care about investing. I thought it's only for the rich.
At 24, I have been reading up and investing.
