There are a few ways that you can consider. This is just something very preliminary. Check out this article by the Motely Fool for more specifics of the different asset classes. https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/08/29/3-ways-to-invest-in-a-renewable-energy-future.aspx

Equities ETFs

ETFs help to give you exposure over a range of investments and help to diversify some firm specific risk away. You could consider being exposed to a specific type of renewable energy, or a range of renewable energy. Some popular ones include Guggenheim Solar ETF and iShares Global Clean Energy ETF

Bonds

Bonds may be issued by companies to complete certain energy projects or to raise capital. For example, one of the more popular solar-backed bonds is SolarCity.
