You'd better be thinking 'average'.

you cannot 'beat' the professionals nor the markets.

modest thinking here:

If you are suggesting companies that are gonna be 10 or even 100 baggers, I'd suggest you look for fundamentally strong companies with strong MOATs that can help them be the market leader in their respective industry for a very long time.

An example would be VICOM but there isn't much room left to grow now.

If you are suggesting tech or tech-related stocks, I'd say buy into the semi-conductor companies listed in the SGX. I wrote an article on them a while back so you can have a read here!

My top 3 picks are :

  1. Frecken

  2. Micro-Mechanics

  3. Fu Yu

AEM used to be at the top of the list but now that it has ran so high up, it has been fair-valued to a little over valued so I have since removed it off my list !

Cheers and have fun in your investment journey :D

Like the others mentioned, its really difficult to spot the next up and coming company.

However, one way of getting exposure to those small companies can be investing in VTI etf (Vanguard Total Stock Index). This gives u exposure to large, mid and small cap stocks instead of the s&p 500 which only tracks the large cap stocks!

Hey there, I agree with the points that the rest have made so far! It is really hard to find such companies these days, as the odds of making it that big is really really low :(

I don't wanna advocate for any stocks but I would like to give you just a gentle nudge! Look at the companies you have mentioned and see what they have in common. They are companies that manage to solve a major problem/offer major convenience in many people's lives and pretty much created an industry of their own. You can deep-dive and search for similar companies you think that would have these potentials. These companies would likely be already trending in online forums, analysts' articles etc!
