Given your case, you may want to look at zero-fee credit cards since these expenditure may not be very frequent (depending) or high transaction amounts. For myself, I have been using CIMB AWSM (18-29 y.o).

Are there any way to reduce the amount / amend the frequency of payment for savings plan?
Hi there, Yes you are able to reduce the premiums of your said policy, however you will not be able to adjust the tenure of your policy. However, do note that reducing your premiums will also change the projected amounts, which can be obtained via your PRUAccess portal. You will need to contact your advisor to effect this change. If you are currently not in contact with him, you may contact customer services for the form to effect the changes. Do hope i was able to answer your queries!

Both ride on M1's network, so network quality should be about the same. Instead, you should find a plan that suits you best. What I would suggest is to be on the lookout for promotions, sometimes they come up with really good deals. Circles recently had a unlimited data and talk plan for $18 (still ongoing for CIS I believe), and their base 20GB plan for $7 during 11.11 last year. When a new and better promotion comes about, just switch. 😂

During BTO key collection, can I indicate to pay the mortgage using CPF-OA funds but repay my CPF-OA using cash every month / year? Will there still be accrued interest if I repay using cash monthly?
Hi there, To answer your question, yes there is. If you are just doing a top-up of your CPF-OA, you will still incur AI on your loan principle. If you are looking into doing voluntary home refund (VHR), where you use current day cash to pay off your YTD CPF-OA monies used, if you do pay on schedule, you might not be subjected to any AI on your CPF monies used. Depending on your strategy, if you were to sell your house, in your case a BTO, you would most probably be able to payback the interest with ease, due to capital appreciation from your HDB. Doing a RSTU, instead of doing VHR, might be better for yourself in the long run, if your main concern is the interest rates. I do hope i was able to answer you queries!

Should I buy additional 3rd year warranty for my new laptop?

Perhaps before committing into the 3rd year warranty, ask yourself these qns: 1. How long do I expect to use my computer for? - if it is a long-term investment, that you have put in a relatively high sunk cost (e.g 1.8k) then perhaps the additional coverage would be a relatively affordable top-up 2. Has my previous gadgets required frequent servicing? - this might give u an insight to how well (or poorly) maintained your devices are based on daily habits or experiences (e.g. say if accidentally dropping ur laptop once every week is a norm, hmm a warranty might be a good safeguard) 3. What am I using this laptop for? - if it is about running intensive programme such as coding and engineering softwares, a warranty might be a good protection if any components overheat also, it's good to think about the average life span of this laptop, if there's likely to be any milestones e.g. graduation from uni, that calls for another purchase of a laptop/ tablet subsequently and if it falls within this 2-3 year period

How to effectively manage multiple credit cards and not overspend on them?

Personally I think it depends on the purpose of the cards you’re using. For instance, if you have multiple credit cards, perhaps a particular card could be used specifically for big-ticket or pricier items, while another card can be used for your regular daily expenses. It depends on your needs/preferences. Nonetheless I’d suggest to use an expense tracker, it’s honestly very helpful! I think Seedly’s app allows you to record expenses based on the respective accounts so that can be pretty handy. For me, I stick to using only one credit card most of the time, so it’s much simpler to track :)

What are some interesting money habits you have developed over time?

I realised my money mantra looks something like this: "Automate what's good for you, make the pain manual" I automate (GIRO) my: - Regular savings sum to my Joint account - Mom's monthly allowance - Investment monthly sum (dollar cost averaging) - Insurance premiums annually I do these manually: - Manually pay my credit card bills so I feel the pain of how much I am spending every month - Manually key in some large ticket expenses on my app Anymore interesting ones to share with the community? :) No right or wrong here!
