Hi Colin! Short answer: No Spend on DBS Altitude cards will be rewarded miles in the form of DBS points; which can be converted at the rate of 1 DBS Point to 2 miles. The rewarding of these DBS points is governed by the DBS Rewards Programme Terms and Conditions. Within the DBS Rewards Programme T&Cs, it is stated under clause 2.6 (a) that DBS Points will not be awarded for: - .... - Any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers , prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts (including EZ-Link, NETS FlashPay, Singtel Dash and Transit Link); - ... Hence, I strongly believe you are out of luck here. Nonetheless, it's best to reach out to a DBS service representative for their official response :)

Yes, you can. you will also earn points from the spending of the card. But best you put a spending limit on that card to avoid over-spending

For most travel insurance, the departing and arrival country needs to be in Singapore. Check the terms of the insurance contract for the full details. Here is everything about me and what I do best.

I use 1.8 cpm personally, but there's no real mathematics behind that, other than reading the opinions of other and then deciding for myself what number would work for me. For citi miles, still 1.8cpm, but a little more valuable due to the number of transfer partners.

It depends on your spending habit. Instead of spending money to get the miles (which may be worth it), spend some time to understand your cashflow: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/understanding-your-personal-cash-flow/ Through this process, make a list on the expenses that will accept AMEX as a payment option. Then plan your expenses accordingly. All things considered, this will be the best suggestion, rather than for you to spend extra money to get the miles. Here is everything about me and what I do best.

It depends on the individual credit cards. In most cases, you will not be awarded rewards for instalment. Check the terms for the most accurate information. Here is everything about me and what I do best.

Unless you have elite status with Cathay, there's very little you can do to goose the waitlist. The key here is to be flexible- try looking for Star Alliance options (eg Air Canada, United) which you can redeem with your KrisFlyer miles.
