Thoughts about Grabpay Mastercard? Go or no go?

What do you actually get with the grab credit card? are there special perks? would you go for it?

GrayPay Mastercard is a great add on.

  1. great numberless design, it looks pleasant and refreshing

  2. Extra bonus points- You earn CC points with your existing creditcard to top up your GrabPay (best card is UOB One)

  3. Then when you use GrabPay, you earn grab reward points.

  4. Win - win for all

I'd say it's a go, especially with AXS machines not accepting Grabpay (for now). As shared in https://community.whatcard.sg/t/axs-has-for-now.... AXS is a channel payment for most of Singapore's billing organisations:

  • Internet/Telephone bills: Singtel, Starhub, M1

  • Electricity bills: SP, Keppel Electric, iSwitch, Geneco, Sembcorp power, etc.

  • Insurance: AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Aviva, AXA, etc.

  • Government-related: taxes, season parking, polytechnic school fees

  • Public hospitals bills: NUH, KK Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat, Tan Tock Seng, etc.

  • Fines: LTA, Traffice Police, NEA, etc.

  • Others

  • Scoot air tickets
  • Condo management fees
  • Country club membership fees
  • Private carpark season parking
  • DHL, UPS, and more…

I have yet to try it out myself, but it seems one workaround for this is "to pay your AXS bills using your Grabpay Mastercard under “Credit Cards” option of the AXS app." Hopefully this remains working indefinitely.

Useful if you can double dip with the UOB One credit card. Makes your GrabPay balance more liquid and easier to spend.

Go. I only just started using Grabpay Mastercard and I am all for it. The reason is you can easily double dip it. First dip is using your CC to topup Grabpay (but take note, there are some credit cards that have excluded GrabPay top up. The best now is UOB One Card). Then, use your GPMC for all purchases. You will get Grab points as well which you can offset for ride vouchers!

Grab has really gone out of their way to make payment through GrabPay an attractive and cost-saving ...
