Singtel may commit over S$600m to Grab digital-bank venture - I can understand why SingTel wants to work with Grab, but how does Grab benefit from SingTel being a 40% stakeholder?

Given that Singtel is a Temasek-controlled entity and is well trusted by many, this partnership with Singtel could build trust among its customers to deposit their money with the digital bank. As such I would say Singtel reputations and backing would benefit Grab in this partnership.
