Should I workout or do part time job before NS?

I just completed my NS Medical Checkup, likely to be PES BP due to my BMI (30.2), Weight - 93.6Kg, Ht - 176cm. I'm now at the last the 1 mth of poly internship, so I have about 6~8 mth to slim down to get reassess. But I'm thinking of doing part-time job to earn $$ for the 1 & 1/2 of holiday before my semester 2 of poly. So should I forgo the work & focus on slimming down for NS or find some part time?

Hey man! I am also in my third year at NP and i started losing weight to avoid BP at the start of april before the check up.

All i can say is that losing that weight is rly not that time consuming if you do it simply

1) Cut down and count your calories using an app like MyFitnessPal

2) Go for 2.4 runs 4 times a week (or start walking more eg 30 mins a day)

3)Do simple bodyweight exercises like push up and sit up after your cardio

All of these would take probably 4 hours a week? Try and allocate it around your part-time job such as exercising on days you don't work.

I can only tell you it is possible because I did all of these myself too. I managed to lose 14 kgs from 95kg to 81kg in 4 months and I'm still going. It truly is your discipline and patience that your effort will pay off in the long-run. All the best!

How about both, since you won't exactly be working out 8h/day. That wouldn't be a healthy way to lose weight too.

In fact, how about picking a job(s) that requires strenuous exercises e.g. food delivery esp during peak hours, F&B services or even logistics (delivery/packing). You get paid while getting a free full body/ functional training session. For hours! And the experience out of your comfort zone, learning something new too!

Life's a matter of perspective, so make the best of it:)
