Is there any incentive to get life insurance just for ECI/CI compare to just a standalone ECI/CI plan?

The incentive is to protect your income should you be diagnosed with an early stage illness. Life insurance transits to self-insure once you cross a certain payment period. Term plans are used to boost your protection because you have dependents. A combination of both is often used to ensure adequate protection at an affordable budget.

Hi, the answer will depend on the following as well:
(1) Do you need multiple payouts?
(2) How long you wish to get covered for?
(3) Do you wish to have a very comprehensive list of Critical Illness conditions covered?
For (3), as of now, if you wish to be covered with the most comprehensive list of Critical Illness conditions in Singapore, you may wish to look at our AIA Power Critical Cover, where you can choose between with no cash value or with cash value.
