Should I be applying for a cancer standalone plan without medical underwriting if I got rejected for a multipay CI?

While it’s easier to buy a plan without medical underwriting, I might end up not being able to claim due to pre existing medical conditions. There must be a reason why I got rejected instead of just exclusions for the CI? But from what i googled, my pre existing conditions doesn’t cause cancer. But I wouldn’t know cos I’m not a doctor.

It depends on your needs. There exists cancer coverage plans with simple underwriting. Accordingly, it is easier to get insured to that end. For example, you only need to answer 3 questions for AIA Multi-Stage Cancer Cover. Thereupon, the digital underwriter will determine your eligiblity.

Hi there,

Usually in cases of rejection, the applicant consultant should know the results on why you were rejected for the application. Depending on the severity, if have personally encountered cases where the rejected reasons were rescinded after a positive medical examination.

If you are not able to purchase a CI plan, a cancer-only plan might be viable in the interim as the underwriting requirements are different, until you can ascertain why you were rejected in the first instance.

If CI coverage is important to you, and you require assistance, I do have some experience in dealing with such cases, so please do create a contact request and we can take it from there. I do hope i was able to shed some insight on your situation!
