[Poll] Is it a good time to buy Coca-Cola with the Cristiano Ronaldo saga?

  • Coca-Cola loses $4 billion in market value after Cristiano Ronaldo shuns Coke.
  • Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) pays investors a reliable dividend that yields about 3% per year. That's better than the 1.6% yield you can expect from the average S&P 500 stock.
  • Seeing that Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., The Vanguard Group, Inc. and BlackRock Fund Advisors owns the most shares of Coca-Cola along with it's many years as a leader in the F&B industry, seems like a generally decent stock?
  • If you take into consideration the dividend tax, is Coca-Cola still worth it?

The dip in NYSE: KO's share price is more event-based this time round, with Christiano Ronaldo putting the coke bottles away at the press conference.

I am not sure how this will impact Coke's business in the long-run given how defensible Coke's business has been over the years. In fact, I actually feel like it is a good time to buy NYSE: KO at a discount.
