I took a company sponsored postgraduate degree (full time) and am now back with the company and in serving the bond..
I can’t comment about the part time vs full time as what I did was only offered as full time.. But I can comment about taking vs not taking:
Pros
You get a free postgraduate degree — that comes with intangible benefits of brand, skills and new networks
You have a job secured at the end of the degree
If you are sponsored, usually it’s a signal that the employer likes you and you probably can expect good career progression on return
Cons
Unless the employer also pays your salary during full time studies (rare but i know of some employers that do), you’ll likely still need to make up for lost salary
You have less years of experience on your resume
You have a bond to serve that can limit career mobility
