Online brokerages that levy a fee on dividend payouts?
What do you think on online brokerages that levy a fee on dividend payouts? seems like an outright cash grab, considering brokerages already charging transaction & custody fees etc. Any factors/blind spots that you would consider when choosing a online brokerage?

If custody is under CDP then usually there is no dividend charges.
However, if you open a custodian account, there might be dividend charges because the bank or brokerage has to process the admin and company actions.
