Gender does not lead to salary gap. Perception and sometimes discrimination does.
The more awkward cases are those of gender limitation and exposure that are used to keep the gender differentials going.
The management and board gaps can be closed up too to ensure female are included. :)

Just pointing out a gender pay gap says nothing much about the actual situation. Firstly, it tells me nothing of which industries are the ones with significant gender pay gap issues. Secondly, it tells me nothing of the pay gap between different genders with the same job. Thirdly, it tells me nothing of the gender ratio of any particular job or industry, which would show the demand/supply for specific genders for specific roles.

Just based on personal observation, in SG, ladies have a 2 years head start as compared to guys. Assuming a starting pay of 3k per month, that's a $72k difference. Where is this pay gap we are talking about? đ âââ
