Is there any difference in buying SPDR S&P 500 in Singapore and US markets?

I believe bid offer spread is tighter for SPY, not to mention the trading volume is higher as well. For S27, minimum lot size is 10 shares, whereas you can opt to buy only 1 share of SPY. You can also trade options on SPY which can yield much better returns compared to buying and holding the ETF.

Yes, S27 has much lower trading volume. I don't see any reason why you should buy in SGX over US.

We have to consider exchange rate if we trade US ETF, right? like now exchange rate is bad for SGD, may be we can consider buying SGX ETF? ( if liquidity is not our concern).
