Is the UOB Lady’s Savings Account attractive in terms of being insured without committing to premiums in a regular lady insurance plan?

Recently saw that UOB has a new Lady’s Savings Account that comes with benefits such as female cancer coverage (sum assured depends on bank account balance), a complimentary yearly health check and flat fee consultation rate etc. But the interest rate is a low 0.05%. Is this considered attractive in terms of being insured without committing to premiums in a regular lady insurance plan?

I will put in $1000 for the free annual checkup and flu vaccination. The opportunity cost in interest compared to 2% HISA is only about $20. The lowest tier coverage at min balance is not high and should not be your only health insurance.

Hey there! That plan will be good for coverage for cancer (eg. Breast cancer etc) but it may not be the most comprehensive since these cancers are on the extreme end of Critical Illnesses. if you want something that is way more comprehensive, I'll recommend you get a female illness plan. These female illlness plans usually cover other conditions that are female-related eg. Lupus, Arthritis.
