Should you signup online or in real life? Which one and why?
I'm assuming you are asking between signing up online or physically at the branch:
Would certainly recommend signing up online (given current covid situation) + it is a more straight through process (if you use MyInfo). Otherwise, you may need to prepare all documents required to proof your identity and income if you go to the bank (think CPF statements and payslip)
Also, do look out for promotions offered by aggregators like singsaver before you apply directly from the bank: https://blog.seedly.sg/best-credit-card-promotion-singapore/
To my knowledge there is no difference other than the customer service / experience.
So far, my experience with dbs for online has been fine. Got my card within 2 weeks of submitting the documents/cpf.
For uob, I recommend going to the branch as their system could not issue me my card. Even at the branch, they could not find any records of my online application.
There is no best way to sign up for a credit card. It all depends on you and the card itself. Moreover, some cards have promotional cash back / free gift for online sign-up. Hence, it may be worth looking into.
