Is investing in the STI ETF still worth it?

Last 2 years when I try to learn more about investment, almost every article or discussion recommend STI ETF. Now when I look back the similar article or discussion, most doesn't recommend it. Is people mind change or I just misinterpreted it at the first place?

The fact after 2 years of self-research, you still had to ask whether STI ETFs is worth it showed you had not made any substantial progress in your financial literacy and/or independence of thought in sieving and organizing various bits of information. Best move on to other stuff

Investment is not one size fits all. I would think that STI ETF is generally lower risk, that is why some recommend it for beginners. If you are doing intensive research regarding certain companies and have funds to diversify your portfolio, buying individual stocks may result in higher return.
