Is GLD US (O87) the only kind of gold listed on SGX?

What other options do we have on SGX for gold?

If I remember, yes there is only this one listed in SGX. I see that you are only limited to buying from SGX as you are using SRS. Well that is fine, but just curious though - why specifically gold? Haha

I feel it's safer for a mid long term holding until i have saved up about 5 yrs of srs contribution then I'll change to annuity plans. and also I feel the repo issue may come to an end n this yr end is election year for US, and also usd may rise, so overall may push up gold prices. lots of analysts also mentioned spot gold may rich 2500 or 3000 mark.

No other option unless you go with Choon Yuan's suggestion of going for Gold Miners.

There are CNMC Goldmine, Wilton Resources and Anchor Resources which mainly do exploration, mining and production of gold.

Alternatively, you could purchase actual gold bars. Definitely more 'shiok' seeing and touching an actual commodity rather than purchasing one from the stock market.

You could also head to banks to buy gold. They will simply record the weight and price for reference

Yes, it is the only gold ETF. The other proxy to consider is CNMC Goldmine which is a listed company on the SGX which mines gold. I have observed and the share price does correspond to the movement in gold prices

Yes, sadly Singapore only has 1 Gold ETF listed here. The trading liquidity is also not that good.

If not you can consider Gold ETF in US markets. Since gold does not pay out dividends, there is no withholding tax.
