Is Equity/or Bonds the same as holding a stock for a long time? ?

Equity is stock and it is shares issued by a company. Bonds are like loans to a company. You dont need to hold them for a long time. It depends on your investment strategy. Sorry your question is phrased a bit weirdly, so im not sure if i answered what you are asking.
