We are a meritocratic society and that also means that there will be inequality inevitably. Yet, it would be foolish to simply say that we should therefore abolish meritocracy. Hence if you were a contesting for an election, what proposal would you bring forth to improve social mobility, help Singaporeans who feel that they’ve been left behind, and ultimately emerge from this crisis stronger and more cohesive as a society?

Basically we should have more bursary and less scholarship
If the rich and smart student fails to get a scholarship he can still study
If the poor and 2nd place student fails to get a scholarship, its tragic

Should meritocracy be absolute or should it be conditional?
