Hi Jo,

Before you start investing with your OA monies, you'll need to open a CPF Investment Account (IA) with one of the three local banks.

When your investment proceeds are sold off, they are returned to the CPF IA account with the bank first, and typically will sit in the CPF IA account for 30 days before they are then returned to CPF OA.

CPF savings withdrawn under the CPF Investment Scheme for investments are not used to make up your Full Retirement Sum (FRS) at 55.

Depends whether your RA has been created yet or not, but if it hasn't then when you liquidate your investment it will go back to your OA.

If your RA has been created, monies from your SA first, and then your OA will be transferred to your RA to form the FRS. If your SA + OA balance is in excess of the FRS then your proceeds should return to OA.
