When i was feeling like shi* at my previous job because i didn't like what i was doing, a colleague told me, "don't expect to love your full time job. Do what you love as something part time so you have money from your full time job and still can do what you like after that."
I guess my takeaway is that whatever i do beyond my full time job has to be really worth my time. Something that i really like to do, instead of sth that just brings in cash.
If you are young and in good health why not ?
Always good to to build up capital early.
If you have a skill which you are passionate about (ie making music for myself) you could teach that over the weekends for an extra side income of a few thousand dollars:)
Yes I will consider doing part time job on a weekend if there it's something that I am interested in exploring. It can be something you use to improve your CV and job-hop when opportunity comes.
I would if the job would help me in the long run. For example, if it allows me to improve a skill i would like to master or for networking purposes.
I would take up the job too if it something i like do as a hobby.
Example, like baking cakes on the side.. Or like make up services during weekends to brides..
It depends on whether I need the money, as well as whether I have time for that. If I have to regularly bring work (from weekdays) back home to do, then I will have no time for any other types of work as I'd want to spend time with family and friends too!
Yes part-time bit not in wekeend but on weekday night or along side anytime possible. This is to have an extra stream of income for achieving any Target or as a backup income in case lose of main job. Not to forget , the part time side income if is good and mature may one day be your own business.
I'll do my budgeting to ensure that I save and won't overspend unnecessarily. However, I wouldn't do so (part time on weekends) unless I desperately need the money as I prefer to have work-life balance where I either rest or spend time with my family & friends
Depends on how much I'm being paid for my part time job to justify spending my rest time on it! If I'm paid more than $20 an hour I'll consider it so that I can get more money to save and invest with :)
If my full time job is not very tiring, I will consider as I can retire earlier. But you have to spend time with family as well so it depends on situations i guess.
