Not sure what is the question about? Even though the HDB lease is for 99 years, do you foresee you will live through the 99 years lease? It may be for some but not for majority, most people bought their first home at age 20+ near 30?

Even if you didn't do anything in particular to maximise your 'rental', which you have tons of options and you can and should... lodging for $14 a day is pretty good...is there a question? O_O
