Credit Cards

I recently got rejected for my DBS cc application, was thinking if its alright to reapply after a month. Any advice? Facts are as stated below! Thank you :)?

  1. Earn ~2,350, started July18
  2. Have 13 mth, received half month as prorated (Jul-Dec 18)
  3. Contract states entitled to 13 mth, but contract for 3 years (till 2021) before deciding if can continue or leave (will this affect?)
  4. Before application, balance was 1,000, normally transfer savings to OCBC
  5. Credit Bureau say my report was not taken by bank, so probably means income/bank balance previously not enough is it?
  6. Have now transferred 20,000 back to DBS hoping will help reapplication

Hmm the first time I applied for my DBS Live Fresh was also similar situation to you, only received 2 weeks pro rated pay. They rejected initially but it was because I need to show a staff card or something, but my company doesn't have a staff card. So I just sound it up to them and in the end they expedited my issue and approved my card. You can try asking on social media haha.

Think the main issue is the Income statement for DBS. Last time there was this rumour of POSB Everyday Card requiring 24 months or 2 full years of CPF contributions at the point of card application.

Don’t think DBS is that strict now for such T&Cs. Just try reapplying for the DBS Credit Card again, make sure your CPF contribution is at a constant monthly rate first.

Yes, you can keep applying for the DBS cc. Salary 2350 with 13 month will qualify for most cc. Perha...
