I'm considering Aviva's MyProtector - Term Plan II. Is it better to get it with (i) CI (multi-pay) riders; or (ii) a standalone CI policy (My MultiPay Critical Illness Plan III)? - Seedly

Hi there. It depends on whether your focus is on death or critical illness coverage.

If focus is death coverage, then get MyProtector. If focus is on critical illness coverage, then get MultiPay. Critical illness riders are often lacking in coverage compared to standalone plans.

You can reach me here if you like to find out more. There are ongoing promotions for both MyProtector and MultiPay CI.

You need to evaluate whether you need to have multi-claim in your insurance portfolio. By doing so, it may mean that you have to forgo a higher sum assured or to pay a higher premium for the same sum assured.

On the whole, there is no way to determine which proposal is better without understanding your needs. For this purpose, work with your agent or an experienced agent that you trust for responsible advice.

I share quality content on estate planning and financial planning here.
