I'm a SAF regular. Is it really difficult to find a job outside given my skills maybe somewhat non-transferrable, especially during covid period?

I'm left with one year bond, but I already know what I'm doing is not what I like. Should I stay on for another year? What are some considerations to think of? And is it more difficult for a regular to get a job outside especially at this point of time?

I think it depends on the role you are looking at, so it may help if you could elaborate more?

Nonetheless, skills are but one of the requirements, in my opinion. Employees also look more intangible aspects like your past work/leadership experiences (if any), your personality, attitude and things like that. Ultimately, I would say all these boils down to your ability to click with the HR/hiring manager, such that they see you as someone that they would want to work with. This is especially true for roles that require less technical skills.

For more technical roles (eg full stack engineers), there will obviously be higher requirements for the technical aspect of things. If you're really interested in the role, you could brush up on your skills by taking up new courses online? I think that may be helpful for you
