I’m a new starter on private tutoring, with the new income relief scheme, i am wondering if I can qualify under the self employed group?

I have not filed tax and neither do i receive tax return form. My question is, how would the gov know if I might be considered self employed? Are there steps to be done? Does tax return for the period have to be filed to be eligible?

It is best that you wait for details and ask MOM directly on the definition.

Declared self employed income will require contributions to Medisave.

It is still unclear on the type of evidence you need to provide if you become SEP on 25th March - that is more likely to cover SEPs who have a good paper trail (comission agents, grab drivers etc)
