I am planning on and it woulds be my first time entering the US market. I see that the minimum volume for a transaction is typically 10 lots at least on the Nasdaq...?

..... so my question is:

how many units(aka shares) are there in a single lot? If it's 100 units/shares, am i absoulutely right to assume 10 lots = 1000 shares?

Minimum is 1 share but then you also need to consider about cost per trade - is it worth buying just 1 share
