I am looking to buy resale hdb (1st timer) . How do you source for property agent? What do you look out for?

My colleague came across an agent trying to sell him condo even though he had budget for resale hdb only, citing that as 1st timer, he will save taxes and can rent out to cover loan. Not sure if this is right. How do you source your agent? Any tips? TIA.

I would usually source from word of mouth and the vibes of working with him/her long term. In terms of recommendation, I believe every property agent has their own principles and perspective how things may work out for you. Despite coming out with the sums, if you are still uncomfortable with it, you can voice it out as well. The property agent cannot force you into a transaction that you don't want. When in doubt, go through a few agents to see what the others can provide you with.
