I am in my late 40s, thinking about buying an index ETF for a long time due to cheaper costs. Any recommendations on what and where can I buy it?

Excellent decision

there are many different and less or more risky ETF options, but simplicity is important.

A super start would be an ETF on:

MSCI World

or

MSCI World ACWI

or

SP500
