Maybe can consider the DBS Multiplier account? Quick and easy opening of account and in my humble opinion DBS offer one of the better foreign exchange rates around.

You can refer to the product review on Seedly if not already: click here

and more info on the multi-currency portion from DBS itself: click here

or the multiplier account: click here

Summary of pros & cons in my opinion as below~ (I hope it helps you!)

    Pros:

    • no initial deposit/no monthly charges

    • fall below fee at only $5 (as compared to multi currency at $7.50) and the fall below only step in if account has less than $3000 (includes both SGD + your foreign currencies)

    • can buy currencies at your preferred rates (locked-in rates; can time to get better value)

    • no foreign exchange fees when you transact directly from your foreign currency wallet

    • multiple ways to increase interests earned.

    Cons:

    • no cheque book

I believe DBS Remit is having a promotion now with 0 fees, you can do a search and see if it's cheaper for you. Hope this helps :)

You can deposit money into your multi currency and change it to sgd for your family to withdraw it in Singapore.

Check Transferwise, DBS multiplier should have higher (not so visible) currency conversion fees

    1. Uob mighty FX

    2. DBS Multi currency account

    3. youtrip

if you have an account with DBS or Uob those options above might be good.

youtrip is something I got lately and I think it is a fantastic idea. The company sends you a card and you can convert to Any currency on the fly with the app. The amount used to Top up the account can come from your credit card.
