How would I be adversely affected if I make partial capital repayment on my HDB loan? is the percentage between the interest and principal reset?

Home loans are top-heavy. At the start, a monthly instalments service a larger percentage of the interest rather than the principal loaned, this is reduced through the years. When we make a partial capital repayment, would this percentage reset as well?
