You could buy ETFs, f.ex. on the U.S. ETF market, there currently are
110 of them, You can filter them on:
https://www.etf.com/etfanalytics/etf-finder
Also gold and silver can be seen as commodities.
On that website You'll find also the longterm performance (10 years)
under "performance" at the depicted table. For almost all the commoditiy classes the long term performance was just bad. So not recommended (exception: part of Your portfolio as physical (not ETF) gold, maybe also physical silver but that one has expensive value added tax on buy plus sell
in most countries ...
