Do up your resume properly. This is what gets you interviews.
Be prepared for the interview. Makesure you do your research about the company. What do they do? Who do they work with? What kind of industry is it in? etc etc
Dress well for the interview.
Practice looking confident and answering questions confidently.
Definitely, it depends on your nationality, your education, your age and even the type of job (permanent, part-time...)
But something that has changed nowadays is expertise over any skill. Nowadays, people are looking for a skilled person as compared to more educated and degree holders.
If you have good hands on any skill, you can make good money in Singapore.
