We were in the red after the wedding, but had been saving money for a full year to negate this.

I spent slightly over $4K over 2 weeks on hotels on my honeymoon. The most costly night was at Mount Fuji, hotel rates there are quite ridiculous, especially around Christmas.

Now I'm on to my renovations. It's a resale 5 room and will probably incur at least $60K on renovations, before appliances.
