How long does a typical mortgage loan process take?

I am new to loans. Currently planning to take a mortgage loan, please advise. If it's a bank loan, what are some necessary documents required? Thanks in advance.

You need statements of all your previous and current loans

1) car loan

2) existing property loan

3) statements of all existing credit cards, even those you had not used, but possess.

4) salary slip, CPF, income notice of assessment

5) any other loan information, such as student loans. etc

With the above, you can send to the bank and apply and it will take you just a week or so to get their reply. Actually I got my reply in 3 days.

Loan for a commercial loan is even faster, I think I got an answer by 2nd day.

Which is the better loan option to take for HDB BTO? HDB or Bank Loan? What is the typical loan amount as a % of property price? If one has ability to pay up for the property, should one do so and reduce the % of property price that is using loans?

Thoughts on spreading commissions over 20 yrs instead of about 5 yrs? since servicing should be long term, If we take hdb loan then transfer to bank loan, the loan amount still capped at 75%?
