The best way will be a way that you are comfortable with. That being said, I have created a customised excel sheet that tracks everything that I need and want. Furthermore, it includes flexibility for changes in the future (should the need arise).

If you use a nominee account from your broker, you should be able to see a quite accurate monthly statement on your portfolio.

I also use Yahoo Finance to have a quick scan on the status of the portfolio if needed.

Can someone help explain how syfe time weighted return work? cause the time weighted return is positive while my portfolio return is negative. eg. +10% time weighted, -$100 portfolio return.

Any idea why Syfe's 100% Reit portfolio has lower 5 year historical returns (4.8%) than the Reits with Risk Mgt portfolio (6%)? In this case, what is the good thing about the 100% Reit portfolio?

YTD or annualised returns - which is more accurate to measure my portfolio performance? In what kind of situation do I use each of the return as measurement?

Anywhere I can read about doing and maintaining a excel copy for calculating the dividend and stocks returns? Or you guys keep track of the returns?
