Crypto

P/L for 2020: 320% gain

Unit Trust (Passive, div payout)

P/L for 2020: -16% loss, 5% APY div collected

In summary, I did pretty well and bought on the dips during the crash. SG market did not recover fast enough compared to the US market and I did some bad trades while being greedy. Crypto is my best performing when I didn't expect the last two months so simply rocket out of sight. Withdrew most of my capital from my crypto portfolio, probably might use it to fund another UT or ETF for higher div payout.

Everyone's a genius in a bull market. The test comes during a market correction or selldown - (1) whether we will have weak hands/conviction and let our emotions get in the way, and end up selling or (2) taking the opportunity to scoop up more shares at a discount. In any case, my new year resolution would be to further reduce my reliance on robo-advisors and DIY instead through my brokerage account.​​​
