Try not to use loan for reno as the interest can b quite high. I suggest u to do the reno based on the cash budget that u hv, then look for more IDs or contractor for quotation. U will b surprised that the price quoted can b vary by a lot. If u r hardworking to source for value for money ID, u can definitely get wat u want within a budget.

Firstly, we need to have a complete understanding on our cashflow. Through this process, we will understand our earning ability and spending habit. Here is a guide to help you: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/understanding-your-pers...
Next, create a budget that is capable of helping you to plan for the future. The best way to do this is via automation and this is how I do mine: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/how-to-create-a-monthly...
Personally, I am doing the exact same steps as mentioned above. This is especially because I don't like the interest rate for renovation loan in Singapore. Therefore, I spent considerable time and effort to plan my cashflow and to force myself to save up money every month for the renovation in the future. To make things worse, I need to pay cash for my downpayment and instalment too!
With this in mind, I will highly recommend for you to conduct comprehensive cashflow analysis to understand more about your finances and to enforce absolute discipline to help you save up for the renovation.
