Great to see that you would want to fire by 30.

i assume you have taken care of your health insurance, and 6 months worth of emergency funds.

That's a good 5-7 years plan.

Let's break it down.

6 years to FIRE With 1M in portfolio

Here's what i would do,

I'll punch my figures into a TVM calculator to find out how much i need to grow to reach that stage.

This is a good one: http://www.fncalculator.com/financialcalculator...

Means that i need to grow my investment at a rate of 19% per year.

Now i'll start looking into Stocks ETF that has been growing near that rates.

Can check it out at etf.com

Though i might warn you that past performance doesn't confirm future performance.

But i think that since they some track record, why not?

So i'll invest 90% of my money in those ETF with a lump sum.

Then when market drop 10-15% i'll deploy another 5%

When drop 20-25% i'll deploy another 5%.

Then i'll continue working in my main job and i'll save and invest first 60% into it and just spend and budget that 40%.

From there, i'll ignore all the noise in the market and just seat and wait and do nothing.

Let it compound and grow.

Jiayou!

Invest in property. Find a good location, near amenities, rent it out. Get a good steady stream of income even before you start work.

Undergrads getting richer and richer yea... maybe can share with us how u got 350K?...
