Hey Seedly ppl, I ordered a new water heater to replace leaking one. The store just updated distributor has discontinue model. Its new model & comes with a remote control. Is this indicating a quality issue?

If is the same brand but now store carries new model with remote, it would simply means the manufacturer are rolling new products for better profits, or could be due to using same parts with some of the current model to save on production cost, it would not mean any quality issues. Alternatively, it could also means the store would like to carry this newer model for better profits or less issue.

Either way, if you're concern with quality issue, then better to google the model that you're keen , or opt for another brand/model and google for any bad review / experience so that you know that it will be safe.

My fam uses those 707 brand for many years and no issues. You can also look into these and find out more.
