What is a good investment strategy to fund our HDB BTO? My partner and I have a 5~ year investment horizon to pool in money together with my partner to fund for our BTO. Any recommendations?

Hi all,

My partner and I have been contributing the same amount into StashAway every month for the past few months but not too sure if it's the best use of our time and money.

I was thinking of buying VOO ETF, DCA all the way till our BTO is complete. Is this a wise choice? Also, how are the fees charged? I am using TD Ameritrade.

Do let me know if there are better options out there! Thanks all!

Hi there,

Your investment returns are not guaranteed, even if it's over the Long term. While you can do a monthly allocation, you may want to be cautious on how much you allocate on your investment regime. Five years may be a relatively short time for a housing need that's is guaranteed so you may want to also try short-term endowments for guaranteed interests.
