I also think it could be dependent on the person who does the test. Someone more experienced might do a better job while an inexperienced one might cause some pain or discomfort.

I have not done it but it really depends on the sensitivity/pain tolerance of each individual. I know those with no reactions to those squirming the moment the stick touches the nostril. As long the person doesnt make any sudden movement, i dont think there will be any issue. For someone who has post swab traumatic disorder, he/she will feel it hard even if the best doctor does it. Just ask the swabber to give you some tlc before doing the test. Sometimes, you need abit of luck to get a gentle swabber and a compliant client. Dont think too much, let the stick go in naturally and it will be done before you know it. Lastly, dont be surprised seeing more males squirming than females.

It should just feel like you accidentelly breathe through your nose while swimming! The feeling would stay for alil while but you'll be fine!
