SIRS, SEP Training SUpport Scheme, Matched CAYE contributions, Pot-to-point support package, Capability Development Scheme

Apart from the Self-Employed Person Income Relief Scheme (SIRS), there are industry-specific schemes which are not so widely known such as:

  1. Sports - SportSG GetActive!@Home Grant

  2. Arts & Culture - NAC Digital Presentation Grant

  3. Performing Arts - Pasar Glamour Art Aid

  4. Film & TV - Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals Relief Fund

  5. Creative Writers - Singapore Unbound Relief Fund

In addition, I think an intiative to help match freelancers with Covid-related job openings/job openings during this period could go a long way in helping freelancers find work in the short-term.

Another initiative could be to create hold online events for freelance musicians to provide live entertainment (from their homes), or freelance instructors to conduct lessons and perhaps encourage participants to pay-as-you-wish to support our freelancers. Hang in there, we are all in this together! :)

When Singaporeans first become parents, they will be guided to the Baby Bonus website, where they can not just check their baby's Child Development Account, but also check out a series of very comprehensive videos on how to take care of a baby. I appreciate this one-stop platform to learn about and beef up my parenting skills.

I think it might be a good idea to leverage our current SkillsFuture website and set up a new section specially dedicated to freelancers. So that this will serve as a one-stop platform for them to get access to the information they need such as knowing how to price their services competitively, knowing how to do up quotations and invoices, knowing how much to contribute towards CPF and save aside for income tax, etc. This episode of Seedly TV could very well appear as a resource too! A Quick Search and there is

Others include:

SportSG GetActive!@Home Grant

Pasar Glamour Art Aid

Talent Assistance (T-Assist) Programme for self-employed persons

Singapore Unbound Relief Fund

Retraining into Coronavirus 'Ambassadors

What i think could be created is a fund that freelancers can pedal for skillfuture credits to learn during this circuit breaker.
