Scandals include privacy issues, fake news, political involvements... and has been rolling since the Cambridge Analytica scandal
Focus on the company growth and financial instead. The regulation are always an unknown and anything can happen.
If the figures are strong, the company will grow naturally with or without external factors.
Do I ever see this ending? I frankly don't. Simply because we are shifting to a society of social media where there are many grey areas / few laws passed regarding this particular aspect. Hence I do foresee more of such data breaches etc. but I think this is just one of the repurcussions that one has to face and I believe Facebook would come out of this unscathed
Scandals on companies such as large ones are constantly being churned out. Focus on whether the comany is churning a good product which is well embraced by the market. A good product that is frequently used is a moat in itself
No big deal.. Even with all these scandals etc, it's still business as usual for Facebook. They are delivering results with good growth YoY, and I like the fact that they don't give guidance at all. And if you just bought it at 15 Mar 2019 and ignoring all the market noises, you will be up 33% today. That's pretty insane!
