I don't. It isn't required.
There is always work and upcoming projects so if I do not draw clear boundaries between work and life, I can easily forgo "life". That is very likely to lead to burnout.
I'm in for a marathon and not a sprint.
If there is additional work and it's important + urgent, then I may work longer on weekdays.
Work will never be completed. What I use as a guiding principle is this: Will this piece of work have a direct impact on important priorities and goals?
If it’s vital, then I’ll clear it in the weekend. It could be work that requires space to think such as brainstorming work, proposals, reports. Or it could be work that I know I need to clear because I’ll have a lot of meetings in the upcoming week and clearing the work this weekend will make me feel less anxious.
Hope this helps!
