Can sg stocks be bought using an HK HSBC account? ?

Asking for a friend that has recently relocated to HK for work. No HSBC or CDP accounts previously in SG. She wishes to open a HSBC account in HK and would to ask if SG stocks can be purchased directly using the account?

If not, what other ways can she buy SG stocks in HK.
