Mainly about plastic surgery, but also expensive make up and perfumes and all those stuff
First of all, expensive make up doesn’t necessary work well. I was given some expensive ones to try but I didn’t like how they feel/look on me and went back to affordable options. Regarding plastic surgery, I think there’s slight temptation for me; I had been bullied and shun away by classmates because they said I’m ugly. I wish that I look prettier to actually have friends like everybody else.... I also wish for defined eyelids (and less droopy ones) but several things hold me back:
scared of side effects
scared of how the part that has been worked on will look when I become really old
scared of potential addiction (one feature is now pretty and other features will now look uglier and “need to be worked on”)
at the back of my mind, I want to be at peace with how I look and who I am
For myself, no surgery. 100% original parts. 😜
Only wish to look presentable and healthy.
For some people or accident victim, it might be a need to do so. I think it's fine for them so that they can carry on live their lives without judgement and biased.
Let each decide his own , let's not judge 😃👍
I find that a life predicated on getting 'more people to like you' is wasted.
Ultimately, we only have one life, and at the end of the day, we are answerable to only ourselves. The constant need to get others to like us is alluring at first, but ultimately not really fulfilling.
Consider the famous stars who arguably were extremely well-liked, but ultimately killed themselves. They had millions of followers, and fans who said they loved them. These people also tend to be ridiculously good-looking, and some got those good looks with surgical enhancements.
Personally, even for myself, I went from a fat 60kg to a more trim 50kg now. I also went from someone who didn't study from exams and constantly showed up on common test day not knowing there was a test, to someone who fortunately had a good first job that paid well enough and offered tremendous learning opportunities.
At the same time, while I transitioned - I can see for myself who are the friends who engage with me for who I am, and also the 'friends' who only started saying 'Hi! How have you been?' only when they noticed that I looked better/seemed more successful etc. Personally, I do not care for people who are in the latter group.
It's harsh, but ultimately, you only need a few good people in your life (the people who really support you, and the people whom you care for). Not legions of fans who say they like you.
Unless you really need the looks....like if you are celebrity actor then is ok to do.
But for others, no need to do....
Some people become obsessed then do until even more uglier than original. And there will be pain or scar if do too much.
Nope. There will always be haters and no amount of money and external products usage will satisfy them. I would use the money and invest in a good course that helps with confidence level. People can never intimidate someone with a healthy level of confidence and studies have shown that people are attracted to one who is confident.
The rest are standard grooming and nice clothes
Beauty is only skin deep. What matters more is the person beneath the skin. For me, rather spend on fitness classes if money is no object. Hire a chef for healthy meals. Will look healthier this way and effects will last longer. Definitely no to plastic surgery, unless it's to cover up something that was surgically removed due to disease
Wouldn't go for plastic surgery as I'm born this way and unique as it is!
Nope, no surgery for me. But sure I'd go for clothes that make me look better
There's actually a man paid like $200,000 to look like jesus Christ(saw on Facebook). Side note. No I won't want to do plastic surgery. Heck I'm afraid of needles so what are knives? Lastly, I'm confident of my looks.
If people only like you because you look good, do you really want to be friends with such people? It is the inside that counts for the long haul. So save your money and be you. There is only one original you! :D
The only reason to change your look is when you NEED to.
There are cases where pretty girl who went for plastic surgery and become "Weird" Looking with super sharpe Chin or super sharpe nose.
They inturn have to put on more make up effort to make it look natural.
Feel sad for those who dun cherish their good looks.
If you dun NEED to change your look bcos u are already good looking, pls dun do anything more to look better.
The BEST way to look better is not just on the FACE, is also how tone your body is and how vibrant you are!
